critical condition series
Critical Condition is a collaborative reporting project co-produced by nine local news partners in the Granite State News Collaborative. The series takes an in-depth look at what hospital and healthcare system consolidation means for access to care, costs, and health outcomes across New Hampshire. As the state’s healthcare landscape shifts, this project seeks to uncover how these changes are affecting patients, providers, and communities—especially in rural and underserved areas. Through shared reporting, public engagement, and accountability journalism, Critical Condition aims to give Granite Staters the information they need to understand and navigate these complex changes.
