Local news lives here. It informs our communities. And it belongs to all of us.

But local news doesn’t just happen. It’s built — together.

The NH Community News Fund strengthens trusted local journalism across New Hampshire. Through the Granite State News Collaborative, the Fund supports both the statewide collaboration that connects newsrooms and the individual outlets serving communities every day.

The Community News Fund is a pooled philanthropic effort designed to strengthen New Hampshire’s entire local news ecosystem. Funds are distributed through a thoughtful, transparent process to support impact where it’s needed most — strengthening both shared infrastructure and newsroom capacity across the state.

Your gift helps power:

  • Collaborative investigations that reach communities across the state

  • Expanded civic reporting on the issues that shape daily life

  • Student mentoring and workforce development

  • Innovation and sustainability for local newsrooms

  • Community engagement and trust-building

When you give, you’re not just supporting one newsroom.
You’re strengthening a statewide network working together for the public good.

You’re helping ensure that town meetings are covered. That public decisions are explained.
That communities have access to accurate, independent information.

This is steady work.
It’s long-term work.
It’s hopeful work.

Local News Lives Here. Let’s All Keep it That Way.
